It was my first time to try making cheese cupcakes so I was kinda excited. As most people know, baking is an exact science. It calls for accurate measurement of ingredients and correct manner of preparation. I learned from my mom (who discovered from her friend) that baking this flavor is a tad bit complex than say for example chocolate. Well let me share it by telling the procedure and my experience.
At the request of my brother, I made cheese cupcakes. I think he planned to give it his girlfriend but until now he’s never admitted it to us. He doesn't even share if he and Nica are already an item. Argh. Sometimes guys could just totally clam up and be frustrating to death. But enough about his love life and my nosiness. =p

Admit it, every visit to Shakey’s is not complete without getting a bite of those insanely delicious potatoes. If you’re a super potato lover like me, then here’s good news. You can easily make one yourself in 5 simple steps.
I have wanted for so long to visit the Mind Museum at the Fort. My chance finally came on my boyfriend’s birthday. Yes, feeling kiddie celebrant not him but me. =p We also took advantage of the promo and a recent info that a CSA friend of his works there. Lean months by the way are from March to July so it’s better to visit during these times.
Time for some self-introspection. I saw this post via Facebook and was kinda surprised it received a lot of negative comments. For me, I couldn't agree more. I think every woman of substance must have these basic traits. And for the record, it goes even beyond the context of dating or wanting to be pleasing to a protential life partner. I am so far from being a perfect 10 but I'm aiming for it. Dream on, Anna! Kidding.
Taken from: http://elitedaily.com/dating/gentlemen/10-signs-youre-dating-woman-girl/638177/ 10 Signs You’re Dating A Woman, Not A Girl by Paul Hudson I recently attended a golden wedding anniversary. It was so heartwarming to see the sister of my grandfather renew her vows with her husband after being together for 50 years. They are real exemplars of a married couple who stayed true to their promise to each other before God. For better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish till death will they part.
Whenever I see old married couples walking hand in hand or looking at each other affectionately, I instantly think of my boyfriend of five years. Will we be like that one day? Will we stay together for that long? Will our love endure? I have always dreaded needles. Luckily, I was able to avoid it for many years. Until the start of my internship. One of the requirements was having a blood test done. I mustered up every bit of courage to show up at the Faculty Medical Arts Building at UP-PGH. As the med tech inserted the syringe into my vein, I remembered gripping my boyfriend's hand so tightly that it was he who nearly ended up in tears.
As a health professional, I know it's my duty to be an advocate of disease prevention. I live by the saying "Practice what you preach" so here I am, trying my best to set an example. Time to say hello to needles again and erase my fear for good. I started with the Flu and MMR shot we were required in the company to get in April. Last Friday, I took a vaccine against meningococcemia. It was my first time to check out the 3-day mega travel sale at SMX Convention Center. I imagined the endless queue and huge, impetuous crowd hoarding the best airfare deals. Still, my forever-late mom and I arrived at 4:00pm.
The entrance ticket costs 50 pesos. Inside, there's a small stage event which I honestly didn't bother watching or even at least know what it was about. I was too worried we already missed out on the best promos. True enough, PAL had long since announced cut-off around 2:30pm. I totally understand because it was past 4:00 and the line was still very long. Have you checked Gastronomy 101?
Here's Part II! >Something Fishy >Family Mart >La Grotta Cucina Italiana >Zubuchon >Mann Hann >Tea Rock Cafe Comments and resto suggestions are most welcome! I would definitely want to try every food imaginable :) Like everyone else, I crave financial freedom. I'm longing for that day when I can just sit back, relax and passively watch my money multiply. I believe time is our greatest asset and should be used in doing what we truly love. My ultimate goal is to have total liberty - the freedom to do what I want, whenever I please.
For me, one of the first few steps towards my goal is to be conscious about my spending habits. Honestly, it took me almost 2 years of my employee life before I realized this. Of course when you start getting thousands of pesos on your bank account you'd always want to reward yourself. You just had to buy the latest gadget, branded shoes and bags or wear the latest clothing trend. To date, I still can’t say I’ve mastered controlling my finances. I’ve also had my share of lapses here and there. And I think another reason is that I had a sucky, faulty blackberry expense tracker app. Yes. Blame it on the mobile phone. =p I'm already 24 but I still don't know how to drive. Perhaps my greatest accomplishment behind the wheel was move my boyfriend's car a distance of 1 inch. Frankly, I do not have good body coordination. It was a good thing no one saw me when I first (and last) tried Kart Trak in EK.
My boyfriend who was still my suitor then took the first round to give me a head start, then we switched places. Honestly it looked so easy but when it was my turn to drive, I found it very difficult to handle the wheel and pedals at the same time. To cut the story short, he took charge of the wheel while my sole task was the gas and brake pedal. We were so slow especially during turning that the others (total strangers) had already finished. They were waiting for us in their parked Karts because it's prohibited to leave the track until every single one has halted. I really was beyond mortified. Until now I can clearly remember that experience which I guess was what made me resistant and terrified of driving. :( |
