Little did I know that God would one day work His magic. Summer came and I met him again. He, a graduating student who was taking his last GE subject. I, an incoming sophomore who happened to tag along with her friend in enrolling in a random GE subject.
He was someone I didn't pray or wish for. I never assumed our paths would cross. And when it did, it wasn't at all love at first sight. I didn't feel my heart skip a beat or have the slightest blush on my cheek. That day was something I could never call extraordinary.

Most people may agree that the most basic financial rule to live by is to never ever spend more than what you earn. It may be enticing to gratify yourself every now and then but not to the point that peso spent equals peso earned. Make an effort to move the needle by limiting your expenses and never going over budget.
So what happens now to this extra money? Forget spending. Seriously.=p Either save the extra cash or invest it. Part III!
>Cafe Breton >Chili's >Ajisen Ramen >Sumo Sam >Uncle Cheffy Comments and resto suggestions are most welcome! I would definitely want to try every food imaginable :) For the South Korea trip I mentioned in my previous post, I was so elated that not only did we manage to get tickets for only 7k/pax, each of us was also given around 3k worth of credits because Air Asia's Manila-Incheon (vice-versa) flight schedules were moved. Thank heavens for stupidly ignoring the available flight schedules when I booked online.
But wait, there's more! Because of the new system, we even got a better flight because initially our departure time was 2AM but is now 7AM. Even the flight back to Manila has a good sched than before considering it takes a few hours to get to Incheon airport from Seoul. The credits are valid for one year from the date of issue by the way. Because of my beagle Hushie's recurrent eye infection, I opted to ask for a second opinion. I googled the nearest veterinary clinic near my home and one Saturday, found my way to Chua Veterinary Clinic located along D. Tuazon, Quezon City. I liked the place. The clinic was air-conditioned and clean albeit the perennial smell of various dogs. I was told they have been in practice for more or less two decades.
Dr. Franz, the other veterinary doctor apart from Dr. Chua herself, took charge of Hushie. He prescribed an eye antibiotic (this time without a steroid) but he believes that the only way for the infection to resolve is removal of the membrane that is inflamed. Although minor, it still calls for surgery where laboratory tests for clearance are to be done prior to anaesthesia and actual excision of a part of Hushie's third eyelid. At the request of my brother, I made cheese cupcakes. I think he planned to give it his girlfriend but until now he’s never admitted it to us. He doesn't even share if he and Nica are already an item. Argh. Sometimes guys could just totally clam up and be frustrating to death. But enough about his love life and my nosiness. =p
It was my first time to try making cheese cupcakes so I was kinda excited. As most people know, baking is an exact science. It calls for accurate measurement of ingredients and correct manner of preparation. I learned from my mom (who discovered from her friend) that baking this flavor is a tad bit complex than say for example chocolate. Well let me share it by telling the procedure and my experience. Admit it, every visit to Shakey’s is not complete without getting a bite of those insanely delicious potatoes. If you’re a super potato lover like me, then here’s good news. You can easily make one yourself in 5 simple steps.
I have wanted for so long to visit the Mind Museum at the Fort. My chance finally came on my boyfriend’s birthday. Yes, feeling kiddie celebrant not him but me. =p We also took advantage of the promo and a recent info that a CSA friend of his works there. Lean months by the way are from March to July so it’s better to visit during these times.
