But wait, there's more! Because of the new system, we even got a better flight because initially our departure time was 2AM but is now 7AM. Even the flight back to Manila has a good sched than before considering it takes a few hours to get to Incheon airport from Seoul. The credits are valid for one year from the date of issue by the way.
Booking a Flight
1. Go to their website www.airasia.com.
2. Select a flight and input guest details basically guests' name and birthday.
3. The tricky part when booking a flight at almost all airline website: Add-Ons.
a. Simply click No, thanks for the checked baggage OR pay P170 for 15kg.
b. Tick the box No, thanks. I would like to proceed without AirAsia Travel Protection. which is otherwise P300.
c. Do not pick a seat. Click confirm.
4. Happily pay the cheap fare! In my case, dragon pay is enrolled as a merchant in my BPI online account so I just transfer funds to it.
Other payment options: Credit card/debit card | E-gift voucher | Payment partners (7-11, SM Dept. Store, Robinsons, etc.) with payment fee of P134.40
Accommodation
A reliable source for me is Trip Advisor. Ranked first in the their list of budget inns is El Portal Inn. Reviews are sorted by date and the inn already has 89 good reviews. Woot. Deciding where to stay in Tagbilaran City would not be an issue.
I checked the inn's website. Amenities include air-conditioned rooms, hot/cold showers, 21" colored TV with cable, refrigerator for deluxe and superior rooms, and wi-fi. The essentials are all included. They also offer tour assistance and for a minimum of two nights' stay, free transportation to and from the airport. Rates below were taken from their site.
Normally, you pay half of the total amount as reservation fee via bank deposit. Contact El Portal Inn at +639287591352. I also emailed them at [email protected]
